About me
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist in private practice offering therapy, counselling, and coaching. My approach uses Neurolinguistic and Clean principles. I offer face to face and online sessions ( via Zoom)
I am also a Licensed HeartMath™ Coach specialising in Emotional Health, Stress Reduction, and Resilience. I also offer Emotional Freedom Technique.
My psychotherapeutic approach is contemporary, flexible and oriented around what you want to have happen, i.e. your desired outcomes.
Our minds and our bodies are not separate from each other and nor are our thoughts and feelings. We are complex, fascinating systems of interconnecting and inter-related thoughts, feelings, experiences, memories, and more…. that all serve to make each one of truly unique. These aspects of self come together in different ways in different contexts to create our outcomes, i.e to create what happens and how we behave. If we aren't getting what we want, or when we want to resolve issues, solve problems, or develop new ways of being we need access to flexible and responsive therapies and change processes that will help us gain new perspectives and develop new personal resources.
Therapy can help sort out the confusion, identify the areas that need to change and create a system of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that support you to achieve what you want.
The methodologies I use help you become more aware of the structure of your experience, to create mental, emotional, somatic (and sometimes physical) models for your self what is happening in a given context so that you can build more effective internal models, acquire or develop resources, and create change. This approach is the basis of my therapeutic modality: NeuroLinguistic Psychotherapy (NLPt). I also specialise in using Clean Language and HeartMath, and I'm the founder of The Breathing Space.
I have experience of working with people to heal and resource themselves across a broad range of issues such as
- Anxiety/generalised anxiety disorder

- Depression
- relationship issues

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
