About me

My name is Grazyna (she/her) and I am an integrative counsellor/ psychotherapist who offers empathic, confidential and skilled service to clients who want to engage in the process of therapy. I work with a range of issues (see below).

I incorporate elements of Transactional Analysis, Person-Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies in my work. This combination offers a comprehensive framework and toolkit to support clients to appreciate different perspectives on their issues and make positive changes, if they wish to do so.

I have experienced the effectiveness of therapy as a client and have become enthusiastic about the possible benefits of therapy such as better understanding of self, self-acceptance, the courage to test change, to set boundaries, and to live in the present with enjoyment and appreciation, to name a few. This inspired me to become a therapist myself.

My professional background includes teaching in higher and adult education and a professional role in the NHS. I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I adhere to its Ethical Framework, I have professional insurance and undergo regular supervision of client work. My practice complies with UK law. In addition, I continue to build my counselling knowledge and skills. I currently work in English only.

I offer my services in person and online. I see clients at Bodywise in Manchester (M4 1DZ) on Monday afternoons and at Bridge Street Chambers (M3 2RJ) on Sundays 9-5pm. I work online throughout the week.

Training, qualifications & experience

I successfully completed a highly regarded Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Stockport College in 2023. I have continued to expand my knowledge, skills and qualifications including:

  • Primary Certificate in Single-Session Therapy (aka OnePlus Therapy) 2023 with Professor Windy Dryden
  • Mindfulness for Stress with Manchester Mind, 2024
  • Working with Trauma and PTSD parts 1 & 2, 2023 via Counselling and Family Centre
  • 'How to work with trauma-related dissociative processes', parts 1 & 2, with Theres Fickle/Counselling Initiative, 2023
  • Various trainings with Practical CBT including supporting clients with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, family or relationship issues.

My therapeutic interests include mindfulness, hypnosis and Motivational Interviewing.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
