About me

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapist working in Walthamstow and registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am trained at master’s level to practice psychotherapy with a broad range of clients, and I integrate a variety of theoretical approaches depending on my client’s needs. I began seeing clients 5 years ago, and have worked with people, in the NHS and private practice, experiencing a range of issues including depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, work related stress, low self-esteem and addiction.

As an integrative psychotherapist, my training has focused on seeking to understand how people think, feel and act both in relation to themselves and others, and how we make meaning of our experiences, as well as importantly how this can be explored within the therapeutic relationship. I believe our perceptions can significantly impact our wellbeing, and that this may be shaped not only by life events but by our relationships, in particular our earliest relationships.

What to expect

I offer a safe, confidential and collaborative space to explore what is going on for you. I support clients to use their own strengths and resources to navigate through difficulties, whilst also drawing on my own research, training, and personal experience to help clients build self-understanding. Through the process of therapy, I believe we have an opportunity to be deeply in touch with who we are, identify our patterns of relating, and experiment with new ways of being.

My experience

As a psychotherapist, I currently focus my attention on private practice, but have previous experience in the NHS where I provided weekly therapy to individuals struggling with substance misuse within a Drugs and Alcohol Service. My background prior to entering psychotherapy includes managing communications for large organisations in the public and private sectors.
