About me

Are you scrolling through therapy directories because you feel it is time to make a change? Do you wonder what's wrong , you dont feel yourself. The world might feel like a silent film – you're going through the motions, but the joy and fulfilment have faded. It's common to feel lost, overwhelmed, worried, or anxious without knowing why. That's where I come in! As a creative, person-centred counsellor, I believe each client is unique, and I'll tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs. I'll gently challenge you to gain new perspectives while working at your pace. My aim is to be affordable and flexible, accommodating your schedule and budget as much as possible.

I can support you in managing strong emotions like sadness, anger, and despondency. I'll help you develop strategies to cope with anxiety and fear, and explore difficult relationships, so you feel less overwhelmed. Within the counselling room, I'll introduce creative ways to explore your emotions safely. This might include sand tray and stone tray work, mindfulness, and imagery exercises.

My specialties include:
- Supporting neurodivergent individuals or those exploring the possibility. This may be things like ADHD, dyspraxia, autism, dyslexia, PDA, or any other type of neurodivergence.
- Helping individuals who've had previous unhelpful therapy experiences.
- Managing stress, anxiety, and fear that's impacting daily life. Helping the person feel calmer, less anxious, and more in tune with their own body.
- Offering Christian counselling for those who want to explore their faith and mental health in a safe, non-judgmental space.

My clients say:
- I thought therapy meant not thinking negativly but now I know it's ok to express myself. I have new ways to cope when I feel unhappy C65
- "I realise I can achieve. I see myself in a new way. The future is brighter A 32
-  I feel lesss angry and more in control. I can exprees myself without shouting G 12
-  I like myself just a bit more. I never thought that was possible S 45

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
