About me
Perhaps a specific issue has led you here today. Perhaps you would like to explore difficulties in your early life and how those are impacting on you today. We all go through times when some additional support could be useful. Perhaps I'm the right person to help. I have extensive experience of working in NHS and charity settings as well as abroad. Aside from my private practice I currently work as a Senior Clinical Psychologist in an NHS service. I have worked with a wide range of difficulties and have the most experience in working with complex trauma, interpersonal difficulties, mood management, and autism spectrum conditions.
As a clinical psychologist, I am trained in a broad range of therapeutic modalities. I am accredited in schema therapy and mentalisation-based therapy. I have further special interests in psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, and skills-based approaches including mindfulness. My choice of which approach to use is always formulation-driven and based on clients' preferences and choices.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

I know how crucially important the therapeutic relationship is. I think it is important to spend enough time at the beginning building this relationship and bond. Because of this, I offer free initial consultations. Feel free to contact me (email preferred) to see if we 'click' and you feel confident working with me.
