About me

Exploring Spaces Psychotherapy Service provides a contained space for you to address aspects of your life that are challenging and causing distress. An intention of therapy is for you to experience being listened to and support you to explore, without judgement, any difficulties, issues, concerns and struggles with day to day living.

With several years of experience within the NHS and Health and Social care field many share that my approach towards psychotherapy is creative and collaborative. Having a strong therapeutic working alliance with a therapist is likely to be an important factor for you when considering therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

Alongside my role as a psychotherapist, I have several years experience working with individuals with mental health challenges; children and adolescents and those with substance misuse addiction and dependency. I’m a registered mental health nurse, currently working in the NHS, highly experienced and equipped to work with a wide range of individuals with mental ill health, psychiatric diagnoses, psychological difficulties and other issues.

I work with adults and also children and adolescents, 0–18-year-old in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
