About me

I am a dedicated Emotion-focused and Person-centred psychotherapist with a specialization in emotional processing. In our sessions, we will be employing your mind, body and emotions so that we can learn what is at the root of your challenges and distress. We will work together towards meaningful and transformative shifts, fostering more fulfilling experiences and authentic expressions of the self.

Balanced emotional processing is a crucial factor in your psychological wellbeing. We see and experience the world through the eyes of our emotions. Therefore, when caught in the grip of anxiety or critical thoughts, overwhelmed by feelings, or numbed by their absence, life can become a challenging journey, leaving you feeling bewildered, adrift, and bereft of joy, connection and happiness. However, there is a lot that can be done in learning how to put your emotions to good use, they can truly become an indispensable tool and a great source of information for you. They can help you to reconnect to what truly matters, make you feel grounded as well as prepare you to take some useful actions in various situations.

I understand that the prospect of working with your emotions might seem intimidating, which is why I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore and befriend your inner world so that your difficulties and distress can transform into personal growth. In the therapeutic process, you will not only gain a deeper understanding of yourself but also enhance your ability to communicate your needs and bolster your confidence in pursuing your goals and aspirations. Among the many benefits, you will acquire the skills to break free from negative spirals and embrace the present moment in your daily life.

If you have an official diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, CPTSD, or other, it’s important to note that emotional processing and emotion regulation are considered one of the main underlying factors within such psychological difficulties, therefore, please feel free to reach out to me and I can comment more on how I can help you in your particular case.

To get started: feel free to just pop an email through to me or give me a call and we can either schedule the first session or some time for a free 15min consultation and we will take it from there.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
