About me

Therapy can help us understand ourselves and shed light on our difficulties. That process of self discovery inspires me.

I am a warm person and you will find it easy to communicate with me. I offer my compassion, empathy, and a caring and listening support in a safe, respectful and confidential environment.

I will work together with you, at your own pace so that you can begin to develop a fresh outlook and new perspectives on the issues concerning you and move forward.

I have many years' experience, including in the NHS, of engaging with people from all walks of life and from diverse backgrounds, who find themselves in difficult situations - be it anxiety and depression, loss, separation or trauma.

Whatever uncertainties and however overwhelmed you may be feeling - counselling is a helpful way to explore, gain new perspectives and find ways to overcome challenges. This is best done in the presence a professional person by your side.

I believe in the wholeness of Mind, Body and Soul.  We will be looking at your emotions, thoughts and physical sensations, work through your experiences in the here and now, as well as understand how past events and relationships may be informing your life at present. That will pave the way for you to find  greater insight and build up confidence.

Please email me, if you are interested in more information or if you have any questions before committing to counselling. I am happy to provide a free consultation.

"You are one of the easiest people to talk to I've ever met, and you have the empathy to get to the heart of issues and problems quickly." (Kev, a client)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
