About me

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor, offering empathic and compassionate support to individuals. I believe that counselling provides a space in which we can explore painful experiences and difficulties, find meaning, and a way forward in our lives.

My practice and approach are non-judgmental and respectful of individual experience, and whether you are seeking clarity or change, or help during a difficult and painful time, I aim to support you.

My counselling experience includes working with: childhood trauma; bereavement; anxiety and depression; habitual worry and obsession (OCD); relationship and family issues; coping with significant life changes; cultural issues; stress; and low self-esteem.

Our first sessions will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for me to understand what you need from counselling. On occasion, I may feel that clients would benefit from working with therapists and counsellors with specific specialisms, and I will signpost to colleagues or other support.

Training, qualifications & experience

My psychotherapeutic training is in Transactional Analysis, a model that I believe helps people to understand why we think, feel and behave the way we do, supporting them in making positive changes to their lives.

  • Diploma in Counselling (Dip Couns.).

I have also undertaken continuous professional development training in the following: anxiety

  • attachment disorders
  • eating disorders
  • Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
  • Equality and diversity.
