About me
I provide a nurturing and compassionate therapeutic environment for parents and families, which allows children and young people to flourish. I can support you and your loved ones to overcome a wide range of difficulties, with particular expertise in working with: anxiety of all kinds, eating disorders, depression and low mood, physical health conditions.
I know how overwhelming it can be when someone in a family is struggling, and it can be hard to know how to support them or find the right kind of help. I offer you warmth and heart-felt care for everyone I work with, and the knowledge that I am highly qualified and able to provide evidence-based treatments tailored to the needs of you and your young person.
How I work:
I know that trying to find help can feel daunting, and I want you to be reassured that I will offer you and your loved one a warm welcome.
Once you have made contact, I will arrange a time to call you for an initial phone consultation, which is free of charge to make sure that we are a good fit. Psychologists are extensively trained in completing complex assessments and using these to develop a good understanding or 'formulation' of what is causing the difficulties and preventing things from getting better on their own. Once we have completed this together we will make a plan about the best way forward for treatment. Seeing a qualified Psychologist means you can be reassured that I am highly trained in a wide range of therapeutic models and treatments and that my work will be a very high standard and evidence-based.
