About me
I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and I have practiced extensively within the field of clinical psychology for the last fifteen years. I have a passion for reaching hard to engage and marginalised members of society and providing preventative and accessible psychological therapy. I use an integrative therapeutic approach, founded on principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness Practice, Narrative Therapy, Positive Psychology and other social constructionist approaches. I work hard to help people understand their difficulties within the context of their lives. I have considerable experience helping individuals, couples and families to improve their relationship and connection to self and others, heal from trauma, develop psychological resilience, improve communication, find meaning, rebuild self-identity, purpose and enjoyment in their lives.
I spend the last decade serving as a military clinical psychologist in the British and Australian Army and specialise in psychological trauma, complex PTSD, adjustment difficulties and addiction.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
