About me
Since 2009, I’ve been helping people create real, lasting change through counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and coaching. My journey began in mental health care, supporting individuals with severe mental illnesses such as schizophrenia to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into the community.
It was during this time that I discovered what truly inspired me - using therapeutic and coaching techniques to help people recover, grow, and rediscover hope. That passion led me to train as a therapist, combining my curiosity about the human mind with a deep commitment to helping others reach their full potential.
Today, as an experienced full-time therapist and coach, I’ve had the privilege of helping countless individuals overcome their struggles, achieve their goals, and live more confident, fulfilling lives.
Who I can help
I work with people from all walks of life, supporting a wide range of challenges and goals. My approach is relaxed, friendly, and personable, while always maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. Whatever is troubling you, or whatever you want to achieve, I’ll help you work through it successfully.
I work with many men and strongly encourage men to seek therapy and open up. As a trained Men’s Health Champion, I have the specialist knowledge and skills to support men in overcoming challenges and reaching their goals.
I’m also an LGBT+ affirmative therapist, offering a fully inclusive and accessible service for anyone who identifies as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, or otherwise part of the LGBT+ community. While I have a specialism in LGBT+ issues, my clinic welcomes everyone - because everyone deserves support, understanding, and the chance to thrive.
About counselling
Counselling is a powerful way to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges in a safe, non-judgemental space. It gives you the chance to be truly heard, supported, and guided toward solutions that help you feel freer, calmer, and more fulfilled in your life.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, confidence, quitting smoking, weight loss, and more. I also have specialist experience supporting men and LGBT+ clients, though I welcome anyone looking for help - even if your issue isn’t listed, I can work with you to find the right approach.
I take an integrative, pluralistic approach, blending techniques from different counselling methods to create a plan tailored to you. One size doesn’t fit all, and your treatment will be designed to meet your unique needs.
Sessions are available at my Leamington Spa clinic, online via video call, or outdoors with walk-and-talk therapy - perfect if you prefer being surrounded by nature rather than sitting in a room. Let me know if you’d like to try walk-and-talk when you get in touch.
Frequently asked questions to help you have all the information you need
What should I expect to happen at appointments?
The first appointment is a 30 minute consultation so that we can meet each other, discuss what you would like to achieve with hypnotherapy, counselling, and/or coaching, make sure we're the right fit for each other, and agree a plan. Future appointments are generally 50 minutes long, with a quit smoking session and some coaching sessions being longer. We will work with whatever you have brought to therapy and do so in a collaborative way in which you have my full attention and support. Appointments tend to be fairly relaxed and it's all about making sure you are comfortable and getting the most from the process. Appointments can be in-person or online via Zoom. The choice is yours and it's ok if you want some appointments in-person and some online.
How much will it cost me?
For up to date information on fees, please see the fees section of this page.
How often do I need to attend appointments?
I recommend weekly appointments, at least to begin with. Your appointments don't always need to be on the same day or at the same time. I'm happy to offer flexibility. But weekly appointments are recommended.
How many sessions will I need?
It's difficult to put a number on it because everyone is different. I see some people for one session. I see some people for years. Then there is everyone in between. For hypnotherapy, the average is around 4 - 6 session. For counselling, it can be a bit longer. The same goes for coaching. However, it really depends on what you are coming to see me for and how the therapy goes. There is no one size fits all approach. Everything is tailored to you and it's an individual process. I'm here for as long as you need to see me.
Is your clinic accessible?
Absolutely. Accessibility is a priority. My clinic is on a basement level, but can be accessed via steps or a ramp. Inside the building is fully accessible and there are a range of rooms that can be used to suit your needs. There are two bathrooms at my clinic, with one of them being an accessible.
Can you control my mind?
No. That's the simple and honest answer. I can't make you do anything that you don't want to do. I wouldn't even try to. The work that I do in hypnotherapy, counselling, and coaching is safe, ethical, and professional.
What happens when I want to stop coming for therapy?
Just tell me. It's your therapy and I will be guided by you as much as possible.
How do I book appointments?
I use the Calendly booking system. You will be sent a link after your consultation that you can use to book all your future appointments. It's an easy system to use. My calendar will appear on screen and you can simply select the date and time that works for you. You will then receive an email and text message confirmation of your appointments, plus a reminder 24 hours before appointments. Your consultation can be booked by clicking here.
Is it a confidential service?
Yes. Confidentiality is vital and what is spoken about in the therapy room goes no further, with just a couple of exceptions. Firstly, if there is a safeguarding risk then I would need to make a disclosure to the relevant authority. I would generally tell you if I needed to do that. Secondly, in the sharing of anonymous case histories with my supervisor and peers. In those circumstances, everything is anonymised so you cannot be identified. Other than that, nobody gets told anything. Not even my husband, family, or friends. Confidentiality is very important and you can trust me.
I've never opened up to a therapist before and don't know where to start. How do I even begin to talk about what I've been through?
Start in any way that you feel comfortable. If you're unsure or scared then I'll ask questions to help you feel comfortable with sharing. You don't have to start at the beginning. You can start with whatever you want to say and we'll take it from there.
What is your approach?
I'm a fuly trained and qualified hypnotherapist, counsellor, and coach. My counselling training was pluralistic or integrative, meaning I don't use just one form of counselling. I use whatever form of counselling is required at the time, based on your needs. There is never a one size fits all approach to my work. I'll work in whatever way you need. As for how I am as a person, I'm pretty laid back, friendly, approachable, and real. I won't give you loads of theory and technical speak (unless that's what you want). I'll always keep it real and be human.
What if my issue is too crazy, extreme, or embarrassing?
Nothing is too crazy or extreme. I'm here to help you work through whatever you bring to therapy. There's no judgement.
Do I need to be committed for it to work or will you work your magic for me?
Something I require from all of my clients is 100% commitment. You'll get better results if you are committed, attend regular appointments, and follow the plan that we'll agree at your consultation. While I'm good at what I do, I'm not a magician, and need you to be responsible for your own therapy and committed to it. If you are committed and willing to meet me half way, I'll provide the rest.

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist. This means I not only welcome and accept clients who are LGBTQ+; I also have an understanding and awareness of issues and experiences specific to the LGBTQ+ community. I've done training in this area, have lived experience as an LGBTQ+ person, train other therapists to be LGBTQ+ affirmative, and proudly support LGBTQ+ people to be who they are.
I also specialise in working with men as a trained Men's Health Champion. Getting men talking more is something I'm incredibly passionate about.
If you cannot find your issue listed here please contact me as the list provided here is not exhaustive. I am always happy to chat about how counselling could help with your issue.
