About me

CECE Relational Therapy

Communication, Empathy, Compassion, Exploration

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to view my profile.

Hi, my practice CECE Relational Therapy is based in the North Yorkshire area. I work with individual adults, couples, families, groups and adolescents 15-17. I work face to face with clients in York, alongside offering online sessions nationally.

I am an integrative therapist and within my working model I offer a welcoming, confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for all clients. Through open and respectful Communication, Empathy, Compassion and Exploration, clients explore past and present experiences. To help gain a clearer perspective on the impacts and challenges such experiences present in their life; working towards a future where they (you) are better equipped to navigate them.

I work on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. Working with a wide range of issues, including:
Anxiety.
Obstacles of solo parenting.
Low self-esteem.                                                                                      Communicating and navigating through a divorce/separation.
Depression.
Abuse.
Bereavement.
Relationship with self.
Relationship connections/difficulties with others (i.e. siblings, friends, partners, adolescent/adult children, parents/carer(s), work colleagues and neighbours.)

If you feel any of my words resonate with you and you would like more information or an initial check-in with myself, please contact me via counselling directory or via my website. If you decide to reach out, I look forward and feel humbled to be part of your journey/process going forward.

In the words of Carl Jung "The privilege of a lifetime is to become who we truly are”  Maybe coming across my profile is a sign it is time to further invest in yourself, your relationships, your family connections?

The premises have wheel chair accessible rooms which can be booked in advance prior to sessions. There is nearby parking which is easily accessible to/from the therapy space.
Larger font/Braille paperwork can be provided if requested by clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
