About me

What brought you here?

Maybe there's something particular that's brought you here today? Something on your mind or it could be you're feeling stuck . We all have times when life makes it hard to know what to think, where to turn, how to be.

Things can unravel with or without reason and it can feel as though we're going mad. Whether you are left feeling hopeless, alone or overwhelmed, or you are agitated, ashamed, bewildered, flat, numb or angry. You are probably experiencing any one of the huge range of human responses to life's challenges.

Counselling can help you to understand what's going on for you and may help you work out how to better deal with these responses. You might feel there are any changes you'd like to make; counselling can help you to understand how these might work out for you.

Who am I?

I am a qualified person-centred integrative counsellor. This might sound daunting, but simply put, means that we work together using a combination of approaches.

These might include understanding what is going on for you in the here-and-now, your past and how your emotions might be affecting you physically.

How do we work together?

We can meet in person at my private office in Bristol or in East Devon, at my room in Budleigh Salterton.

Or we can meet on-line or by phone.

How do you make your first appointment?

Making that first contact can feel overwhelming, but by picking up the phone, sending a message or email, we can start a conversation and I can try to answer any questions you might have. We can agree on an initial session which might be face to face or on-line where we'll talk about what you would like to get out of counselling and what to expect. If you're happy to then continue to a second session, we can arrange how and when we meet maybe weekly or fortnightly.

Training, qualifications & experience

My most relevant qualification is a level 4 advanced Diploma in Counselling. I also have an MSc in Cognition Computing and Psychology. I have undergone specialist training in trauma and in couples work. I am committed to my ongoing development as an integrative counsellor.
