About me

I am a Gestalt Humanistic Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

I offer short term and long term solution focused therapy.

I provide a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential space for you which is compassionate, understanding, professional and focused.

People I work with have stated that in working with me they have experienced improvements in their life, from increased emotional robustness, mental strength to a stronger sense of self and in turn confidence and self esteem, also increased awareness and improvements in their relationships with partners, family and friends.

I understand that searching for a therapist can be daunting, I work with clients according to their needs, together we explore what has brought you to therapy and what you wish to get from it, we then work together towards achieving this.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have over a decade of experience working with people in therapeutic settings, many with highly complex and traumatic backgrounds.

I have worked primarily with people across the South East and London in person and internationally via online video.

My work has brought me to work with many agencies, both in therapy and mediator roles, social services, law enforcement, GP's, also drug, alcohol and mental health services. In turn, I have much experience working in many types of areas with a variety of people.

I primarily work privately now, I have worked for MIND across various locations in west Kent. I am also currently part of a core team of therapists for another organisation in the Bromley area. Both organisations provide high quality therapy and in order to be part of their core teams only the more qualified and skilled therapists are invited to join.

I have also facilitated personal development groups in the South East region, here individuals attended to increase their awareness and understanding of who they were. I worked to assist the group members sense of self, internal sense of freedom, self esteem and confidence.

I am in constant continued professional development. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy and an Accredited BACP Diploma in Gestalt Counselling and qualification in Humanistic Counselling.

I also have many years of additional training covering; trauma, addiction (substance, alcohol, work, sex, gambling), anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, loss and bereavement, personality disorders and mental health diagnosis.

I am a Gestalt Humanistic Psychotherapist and Counsellor, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have much experience working with trauma, abuse, shame and personality disorders, I have a keen interest in working to increase peoples self worth, self esteem and to understand and complete past unresolved experiences.
