About me

Are you feeling sad, lost or overwhelmed? Is anxiety or stress getting in the way of your life? Maybe low self esteem/confidence is impacting your ability to form or maintain relationships. Perhaps family issues are of concern to you right now.

I'm Brian, an experienced counsellor based in London. I know that finding the right support transforms lives. It's important to me that you find that appropriate support.

I work with all forms of anxiety disorders, stress and low self-esteem to name a few common mental health challenges.

Often these will have a significant impact on the person's ability to form or maintain healthy relationships, be it a romantic one or not. The relationship we have with self and others is something that is certainly explored in my sessions.

I have a wealth of experience as a professional counsellor. My approach not only provides support, but also initiates change. Together, we will do the crucial inner work required for that change. Working with those negative and sometimes catastrophising parts of you, which manifest as thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

My 20 minute free consultation is very popular. I can assure you that you will be made to feel listened to and supported whether you decide to work with me or not. I really do want to help you find the right professional for you.

I am dedicated to supporting mental health. This is why I founded Talk Buddy Ltd Counselling Services.

Bringing a blend of the traditional and non traditional, I can take professional counselling out of the therapy room and expertly integrate it into activities like walk and talk therapy when necessary.  I guarantee you a confidential and compassionate space, which allows the opportunity to talk about anything without feeling judged, shamed or ostracised. Your thoughts and feelings can be fully explored without any pressure.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
