About me
What brings you to therapy? What are you hoping therapy will give you? Maybe you are looking for someone to walk alongside you and to be a witness to your experience? It can feel daunting to know where to start in coping with the difficulties that overwhelm each of us at some time or another in our lives. Asking for help isn’t always easy. If you are struggling with an issue, past or present, it can be enormously helpful to talk to someone who will listen to you with an open heart and an empathetic ear.
I am an intuitive empathetic counsellor and psychotherapist. I can offer you a confidential and consistent non judgemental therapeutic relationship which will enable you to feel supported and heard. I believe that the relationship, the bond between client and therapist, is the heart of the work we do together as it often informs how we relate to others in our day to day life.
Different sets of circumstances and challenges impact each of us in varied ways. As an integrative therapist I draw on a number of different skills and theories enabling me to address the needs and requirements of my clients, each of whom I regard as a special and unique individual.
I have a passionate belief in the human capacity for change, and I am committed to using my skills, training, knowledge and experience to make a difference in the lives of those who seek therapy as a pathway to making these important changes. Working with a therapist in a safe compassionate space heightens self-awareness and nurtures authenticity. It is through healthy growth of this kind that you will become the person that you were always meant to be.
I have a special interest in LGBTQ+ and loss and grief in bereavement but not exclusively. I welcome diversity and working with difference.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I adhere to their code of professional standards and ethical framework. I have public indemnity insurance and undertake continuous professional development to ensure my learning is regularly updated.
I offer a free twenty minute consultation by phone.
My fee is: £80 p/h with flexibility for those with special circumstances.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
