About me

Hi, I’m Beverley, I am a qualified Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor based in Northampton. I offer counselling to adults in Northampton and the surrounding area and can provide sessions either online or in-person.

Integrative means that I use techniques drawn from a number of different approaches to fit your individual needs and issues. It’s a bit like having a toolbox of interventions to help you to make sense of your world.

The decision to begin counselling can be a daunting experience and takes a lot of courage. Well done for taking the first step and thank you for reading my profile.

Life presents us with challenges and we can become overwhelmed or depleted. Counselling can help us to work through our thoughts and feelings to improve our wellbeing and live a happier life.

Perhaps you are looking to explore your past to see how it might be affecting you in the present. Maybe your have relationship issues and are looking to understand repeating patterns that are holding you back.

You may feel lost or anxious and unable to move forward in life or you may have experienced a traumatic event and need space to talk through your feelings. However big or small the journey, counselling can help and you are not alone.

The relationship between client and counsellor is essential to provide an environment where you can grow, change or heal. I offer a safe and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and experiences and look to create a relationship of mutual trust and respect.

I offer short or long-term therapy with daytime and evening sessions to suit you. Sessions are 50 minutes long.

I can be contacted by email, text or phone and offer a free 30 minute initial consultation, where you are able to decide if I could be the person to share your journey with you. Finding the right person is most important. I hope to hear from you soon.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
