About me

Welcome to my profile! I hope to answer any questions and look forward to working with you.

I currently have online sessions available.

I have over 12 years of confidential counselling and psychotherapy experience. I am an integrative counsellor and clinical supervisor based in the UK.

Most of my work is with individuals online, which means sessions are available at convenient times to fit in with busy lifestyles. I enjoy making this a safe online space for my clients and supervisees.

I help clients to clearly look at what the issues are and work with them towards sustainable change. This therapeutic process empowers clients to heal, change and live life to the fullest.

It may be that clients need a safe space to talk about long held experiences or beliefs, and I provide the time and safety needed to unpack that heavy load. Often, sharing with me enables clients to make sense of or let go of issues which have had negative consequences. We then look at moving forward towards peace with those gained insights.

I offer Interpersonal Group Therapy sessions (online and in-person). In IGT we look together at mental health related problems through the lense of the relationships in our lives and with each other. This is an excellent way to talk about problems, impact on self and relationships, raise self-awareness and have the full support of the group.  Unlike a support group, group therapy is counselling practitioner lead and has therapeutic outcomes much like individual therapy. There is currently a waiting list, please email to enquire.

I work integratively and within the boundaries of BACP guidelines as a registered member (MBACP, searchable on BACP website). I am a registered, approved provider of counselling and supervision for various Universities and organisations.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am qualified in the following, plus extensive CPD courses;

  • CPCAB L4  Diploma Therapeutic Counselling (QCF) European Qualifications network L5
  • CPCAB L5 Diploma Cognitive Behavioural Therapeutic skills and Theory
  • CPCAB L6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision
  • Interpersonal Group Therapy cert University of Bath
  • Motivational Interviewing (Foundation and Intermediate) Tower Hamlets CEPN

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
