About me

Hello, my name is Aron. I'm a person-centred therapist based in Bristol. I currently have availability for online counselling to adults all over the UK.

In our sessions, it is my aim to offer you a space to experience yourself without judgement or pressure, encouraging self-acceptance and authenticity. The person-centred modality is a flexible approach to counselling, because it places the autonomy and subjective experience of the client at the heart of the work. The person-centred modality is a flexible approach to counselling, because it places the autonomy and subjective experience of the client at the heart of the work. Sessions are client-led, meaning we work together at your pace, focusing on the aspects of your experience which feel most relevant or significant to you, offering an opportunity to explore and evaluate your experience from within. Progress is reviewed together periodically, to ensure we both feel our working together is meeting your needs.

If you feel we could be a good fit, please reach out, and take that all-important first step. Choosing a counsellor/therapist can be a daunting prospect. Therefore, if you have any questions, or if there is anything I can do to help you to make that decision, please get in touch.

Training, qualifications & experience

MSc Counselling and Psychotherapy (Distinction) - Keele University (BACP Accredited)

Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling - Regent's University

Outside the therapy room, my work within the education sector (Secondary, FE and HE), has been rooted in pastoral care and safeguarding. I previously enjoyed a successful career in the performing arts industry, and have since supported many individuals who work and train within this area. I was very fortunate to travel extensively as a performer, and had the opportunity to live and work in various cities across the UK and abroad. I am fascinated by our own unique perspectives and beliefs about the world, and I am passionate about embracing the differences between us to gain a greater understanding of who we are as individuals.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
