About me
I'm a Health Psychologist (HCPC Registered) working in South Manchester, supporting people living with long-term conditions, health-related behaviour change, and the interplay between physical and mental health.
Example topics include depression related to living with illness, health anxiety, adjusting to a diagnosis, coping with symptoms, pain management, self-management. I also have a special interest in supporting people with difficult relationships with food, and supporting people on all aspects of living with obesity.
Our sessions will consider a wide range of factors that might be impacting on your health and welling including sleep, activity, diet, stress management or relationships. We will consider how you might be able to better relate to difficult inner thoughts and feelings, soothe your nervous system, or cultivate behaviours that feel sustainable and helpful in doing what matters most in your life.
If you have something you would like support for please get in touch to discuss, I provide free initial 15 minute phone calls to ensure this support is right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a PhD in Health Psychology (University of Manchester) and a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology (BPS QHP-Stage 2).
I'm Registered with the HCPC and Chartered by the British Psychological Society.
I have worked in NHS, private and community health settings. I'm trained in a range of evidence-based approaches for health behaviour change and person-centred therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
