About me
I aim to promote wellbeing by providing a safe and therapeutic online or face-to-face environment. Through counselling, you can confidentially discuss and reflect on your challenges, experiences, emotions, fears, and worries - whatever may be troubling you.
I adhere to professional and ethical practice, valuing individuals and practising with integrity and respect.
I take a person-centred approach to therapy, focusing on the individual's strengths. As a trained integrative and pluralistic therapist, I often use tools from other fields of psychotherapy, such as psychodynamic, CBT, and ACT.
My approach is relational and empathetic. Working together toward the same goals always produces a better outcome. I strive to create an environment of acceptance, genuineness, and empathy, which can help individuals change and grow.
I am committed to facilitating a sense of belonging and understanding and giving voice to people. Open, honest, and respectful communication is essential at all levels.
I can incorporate mindfulness and relaxation into sessions, which helps clients feel rested and peaceful.
If requested, I am comfortable exploring issues from a Christian perspective and am happy to discuss spiritual aspects of life.
I can schedule a call or brief Zoom meeting to discuss your therapy goals and provide more information about how I work. This will also help us determine if we would be a good fit.
During our first session, we will start by carrying out an assessment to gather some background information and establish the focus of our work together. Later on, we will discuss your preferences for counselling. Acknowledging what you want and expect from your therapist is essential as it helps us stay in sync.
Understanding the growing demand for new counsellors, I am willing to help counselling students however possible. I offer a fee of £30 per session for student therapy, which can be contracted for the required therapy hours or any part thereof.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
