About me
I have been qualified as an integrative counsellor and hypnotherapist since 2019 with a diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory . I have since studied in CFT and am working privately providing counselling, hypnotherapy and a combined approach for managing symptoms of IBS.
I have had a long career as an NHS midwife and have experience in supporting with pregnancy concerns, fertility, fear of birth and depression. I am an advocate for women’s health from puberty to menopause.
I currently work with families through pregnancy and baby loss, whether that be miscarriage, termination, stillbirth or early neonatal loss and have great knowledge and understanding of the support families need, whilst recognising also the need of parents with subsequent pregnancies.
I have in the past worked for Rape Crisis supporting victims following sexual assault.
Working with any type of loss is a passion of mine, this could be through bereavement, relationship, redundancy or financial.
Over the last few years I have found that people have needed more support with general anxiety and self esteem and particularly enjoy this aspect of my work.
Additionally I work with a local charity for eating disorders, facilitating workshops for people who live with a person with an eating disorder.
Hypnotherapy can be sort for phobias, IBS or approaching a life event such as birth, an exam or to break habits such as smoking.
Therefore my skills and experience are varied and I am passionate to help and support people with a number of presenting issues with a combination of modalities.
