About me

There are times in life when you may feel that you don't have anyone to turn to. You perhaps feel that family or friends may judge you if you talk to them about your problems or express certain feelings. Talking to a Counsellor may help take this pressure away. You will be free to open up, in confidence, and express these feelings in a safe environment.

I offer my counselling services to adults, young people and children individually, as couples or families. I am a qualified experienced Integrative Counsellor offering you a warm, friendly service, supporting each person's individual needs working with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship, anger, self-harm, self-esteem and work related issues.

I can offer you an empathic, non-judgemental service in a safe environment where we can work together allowing you to talk and express yourself freely through a variety of tools and theoretical models.

The approaches I use are: Person Centred, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis (TA), Gestalt, Brief Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I offer brief therapy (6 sessions), medium term therapy (10-20 sessions) and long term therapy.

Appointments can be made Monday to Sunday daytime and evenings to fit around your work schedule.

Sessions are held in Whitehaven.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
