About me
People seek counselling for many different reasons. You may be facing a crisis such as a relationship problem, bereavement or other major life change or you may be feeling anxious and lonely. You could be depressed and not really know why or maybe you are having trouble coping with something that happened in your past.
I am an experienced, qualified and accredited Integrative Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist working from my private rooms located in my home close to Stansted Airport. I also work as an approved therapist for Anxiety UK, specialising in helping individuals with anxiety disorders.
Making a positive difference to the lives of others is important to me. I am warm, caring and compassionate and provide a safe, non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to gain a greater sense of awareness and be heard and understood. Our work will support you explore your options and find new ways to cope so you may feel more positive about the future.
I work from a number of different theoretical frameworks and adapt my skills and training to meet your individual needs. I can work with you on either a short term or long term basis, supporting you to make changes to your current life or work through past pain.

I work as a counsellor and psychotherapist supporting adults and young people (15+) with a variety of issues or life challenges, including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, anger, grief, trauma and abuse. I am also an approved therapist with Anxiety UK, with a special interest in anxiety conditions. I find my work rewarding, especially seeing a client feel better, more at peace with themselves or make changes they want to so they can enjoy their lives.
I am also qualified hypnotherapist and therefore able to offer hypnotherapy if this is desired. This often helps clients to cope better with their situations as well as helping to provide the motivation to make and maintain changes and achieve an improvement in their general sense of wellbeing. Hypnotherapy can help with fears and phobias, low self esteem, improving confidence and much more.
I can do face to face session, or if you prefer we can have an online session or chat on the phone.
I am a member of the BACP, the National Hypnotherapy Society, the National Counselling Society and Anxiety UK.

I am a qualified hypnotherapist and therefore able to offer hypnotherapy as part of the counselling process if this is desired. This often helps clients to cope better with their situations as well as helping to provide the motivation to make and maintain changes and achieve an improvement in their general sense of wellbeing.
Hypnotherapy is also available as a single treatment and can help with many issues, including smoking cessation, weight loss, fears and phobias, low self esteem, improving confidence and much more.

I am an integrative counsellor, trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques which enables me to tailor the therapy to suit your unique needs and circumstances with sensitivity and flexibility. I offer open ended and short term counselling depending on your individual needs.
I adhere to the BACP, National Counselling Society and National Hypnotherapy Society code of ethics to ensure I work effectively and ethically. I attend regular training courses and workshops to build my knowledge and take part in regular supervision to reflect and enhance my practice.
I hold an enhanced DBS and my practice is fully insured.
I can offer flexible times for appointments.
My rooms are in a private location, close to Gt. Dunmow, Stansted, Bishops Stortford and Saffron Walden.
