About me
I work with clients who have been expereincing a range of issues including family issues, stress, bereavement, loss, relationship issues, trauma, depression, anger, dementia, infertility, anxiety and low self esteem, terminal illness and chronic pain.
I have specialist training in Systemic therapy with family issues, bereavement, infertility, youth and young adults and experience working with older people.
Therapy offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life and anything that may be confusing, painful or uncomfortable. It allows you to talk with someone who is trained to listen attentively and to help you improve things. (BACP 2012)
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor, which means I use my training and expereince in different approaches to suit my clients needs at any given moment. Being an Integrative therapist, means I work in the way which is most useful to you and your issues. Working face to face both long or short term, our counselling is regularly reviewed to ensure it suits your needs.
You may have some questions about the types of therapy or process, there is a useful link below which may answer some of your questions.
Talking to a counsellor can help you understand whats happening, how/why you respond and enable you to find a more helpful way of living your life. This might be reflecting on a single event that has happened or an issue that is reoccurring.
My private practise in central Winchester, I am easily reached from Eastleigh, Romsey, Salisbury, Southampton, Basingstoke, Alresford and other surrounding areas. By car my office is 5 mins walk from a multi storey car park and the Park and Ride stops or by train - 5 mins walk.

Member organisations
Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
