About me

Finding the right therapist can be daunting. One of the most important aspects of therapy is finding somebody who you will feel comfortable enough with to be completely honest without feeling judged. Because this is so important, I offer a free 30 minute, obligation-free session in which we can explore your problem and you can decide whether I am the right therapist for you. Therapeutic techniques and paradigms are important, but your relationship with your therapist can determine the outcome of your therapy. I am a warm, empathic and non-judgemental person, and aim to make you feel at ease right away.

My core belief is that given the right conditions, people have an inherit resilience and ability to adapt to difficult life situations. My aim in therapy is to create a context in which you can overcome the challenges you face. My clients often tell me how comfortable they felt from the start, and how easy it was to open up.

I am a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist and HCPC registered. I specialize in working with work related stress, depression, anxiety, health problems, and a range of interpersonal difficulties. My background is in systemic therapy, which emphasises a holistic picture and focuses on how problems are being maintained in the here-and-now. I also have an intricate understanding on barriers that prevent a person from moving forward in their lives, and work quickly to implement problem solving strategies. I currently work part time for the NHS, specialising in more complex cases of depression, anxiety, health related problems, physical symptoms, and assisting people with returning to work after a long absence.
