About me

Are you feeling sad, experiencing panic attacks or have low self-confidence? Are you looking to increase awareness and ability to respond to unwanted thoughts and feelings with openness, curiosity and compassion? Are you looking to reconnect with what is important to you and create a greater sense of balance?

My clients develop more adaptive strategies to respond to thoughts and feelings more effectively, regain a stable sense of self and move freely towards their values.

I offer psychological therapy and counselling sessions to clients with a wide range of mental health problems including depression, generalised anxiety disorder, phobias and trauma. I have helped people experiencing a full range of emotional difficulties and life challenges, including work stress and relationship difficulties, life stage transitions and family dynamics such as conflict, post-divorce and separation.

I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all so I provide tailored evidence-based psychological interventions which draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Theory and Systemic practice to help you find your own ‘fit’. I integrate EMDR psychotherapy to enable my clients to relieve symptoms and heal from traumatic life experiences.

I understand that the first session can be daunting and that a person may be feeling apprehensive about the process. Please get in touch and we can arrange a free consultation where we would discuss initial thoughts and feelings about therapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a chartered Counselling Psychologist and my practice adheres to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Standards and the British Psychology Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and centred on the individual to provide meaningful interventions to sustain positive outcomes. I hold an open mind when asking about what a person requires help with and strive to identify strengths alongside areas they are struggling in.

My experience includes positions in the NHS and Local Authority, and I am currently working as principle Counselling Psychologist across three acute wards in the NHS and in private practice. As well as working as a therapist in the last 5 years, I provide clinical supervision and personal therapy to trainees and consultation to professionals.
