About me
HCPC-Registered Dramatherapist & Psychotherapist | Counsellor
MA (Distinction) • IFS Trained • CBT Diploma • Systemic Family Therapy • CMI Coach
Adults • Children & Young People • Families • Groups
I’m an HCPC-registered Psychotherapist and Dramatherapist, as well as a counsellor and coach, with extensive training across a range of therapeutic approaches.
I hold a BA and an MA with Distinction in Psychotherapy, training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Level 1 Family Systemic Therapy. I am also a CMI-qualified coach and hold a Diploma in CBT. I am TA- and DBT-informed and can draw on creative, systemic, IFS and coaching approaches alongside my core psychotherapy practice.
A flexible approach, tailored to you...
We are all different, and what helps one person may not work for another. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and use my training and experience to decide what may be most helpful for you, rather than expecting you to fit a particular model.
You may be coming to therapy because something has become difficult to manage, or because you know that something needs to change. Perhaps you feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, burnt out or disconnected from yourself. You may be struggling with relationships, self-esteem, difficult experiences from the past, or understanding why you respond to situations in the way you do.
You don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need. We can start where you are and work it out together.
I am IFS-trained, and this is an important part of my therapeutic approach.
We all have different parts of ourselves, perhaps a part that worries, another that criticises, one that feels overwhelmed, or another that works hard to keep everything together. IFS offers a compassionate way to become curious about these different parts and understand what they may be trying to do for us.
Rather than judging ourselves for how we think, feel or respond, we can begin to understand where these patterns come from and develop a kinder, more compassionate relationship with ourselves.
Trauma-informed and integrative
My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing on different therapeutic perspectives according to what feels most useful for you. Alongside IFS, these may include systemic thinking, creative and experiential psychotherapy, compassion-focused approaches, CBT, TA and DBT-informed approaches.
At the heart of my work is the belief that our responses usually make sense when we understand what has happened to us and how we have learned to protect ourselves.
Therapy can give us space to explore this, understand ourselves more deeply and consider what might be possible now.
Creativity, imagination and different ways of exploring
My background in dramatherapy means that I can also bring creativity, metaphor, imagination and experiential approaches into our work where appropriate.
This doesn't mean you need to be creative or “do drama”. Talking and listening remain central to my practice. Creative approaches are simply additional possibilities that can sometimes help us look at something differently, and make connections or explore experiences that are difficult to put into words.
I work with adults, children and young people, as well as families and groups.
With children and young people, therapy may look different from traditional talking therapy. Depending on the individual, sessions might involve play, creativity, movement, metaphor, sensory materials and conversation. I follow the young person's interests and pace rather than expecting them to talk about feelings in a particular way.
My systemic training also allows me to consider the relationships and wider family systems around an individual, rather than viewing difficulties in isolation.
I am neurodiversity-affirming and work with autistic and ADHD adults, children and young people, including those who may have spent years masking or feeling that they are somehow “too much”, “not enough” or simply different.
Therapy does not need to be about changing who you are. It can be a place to understand yourself with greater curiosity and compassion, work out what you need, and find ways to navigate life that feel more sustainable.
You don't have to know where to start
You don't need to know which type of therapy you need, or have the right words to describe what is happening.
I bring a broad therapeutic toolbox; you bring your own experience of being you. Together, we can work out what feels helpful and what you would like to change.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an HCPC-registered psychotherapist with a Master’s degree. My training brings together a broad range of therapeutic approaches, allowing me to respond thoughtfully to each person’s individual needs.
My qualifications and further training include:

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
I specialise in supporting people experiencing burnout and dissociation, and autistic people, people with ADHD, and those who are both autistic and have ADHD (sometimes called AuDHD). You do not need a formal diagnosis to seek support.
Burnout can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and struggling with everyday demands, particularly after prolonged stress, masking or trying to meet others’ expectations.
Dissociation can feel like being numb, disconnected, on autopilot or distant from yourself and the world around you.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming: I respect your ways of thinking, feeling and communicating. Together, we can explore sensory overwhelm, masking, emotional regulation, relationships and the impact of feeling misunderstood. Therapy is adapted to your needs and paced to help you feel supported, understood and more connected to yourself.

Further information
I work with children, young people and adults, bringing extensive experience across NHS mental health services, specialist schools and private practice.
My clinical experience includes Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), adult and children’s crisis wards, and NHS services supporting people experiencing psychosis and people living with dementia. I have also worked at the Priory and in schools, including specialist settings for pupils with special educational needs and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEN/SEMH).
Working across these settings has deepened my understanding of complex emotional difficulties, trauma, neurodivergence and the ways distress can affect people at different stages of life. It has also strengthened my ability to adapt therapy to each person’s communication style, circumstances and needs.
In my private practice, Mosaic Tree Therapy, I bring this experience together with a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach, helping people feel understood and supported as they explore their difficulties.
