About me

  • I currently have spaces available for new clients.

Hi, I’m Tracy, an accredited Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapist and counsellor.
Do you feel like everything is moving around you but that you are stood still?

Experiencing feelings of being invisible, unimportant, low in mood or motivation, stuck and general dissatisfaction can all be signs that you may need some support to navigate your problems.

I work with a wide variety of issues which include anxiety, relationship difficulties, anger, depression, feeling sad, bullying, stress, low self-esteem, bereavement suicidal thoughts. I am here to listen and help you to explore difficulties, painful experiences, in a warm, safe space that is confidential, empathic and non-judgemental.

I specialise in baby and child loss/bereavement, I feel passionately about breaking the taboo around infant death and supporting families after baby/child loss and through subsequent pregnancies. Going through life after your baby or child has died may often leave you feeling isolated and alone. You might feel that friends treat you differently, or you may feel anxious about a new pregnancy and what the future holds. You may feel that it is impossible to feel happy or enjoy a pregnancy after loss. You might be feeling that nothing is ever going to be the same again.

Our initial meeting is an opportunity for you to discuss what brings you to counselling and to decide if I am the right person to support you. I offer short and long term therapy to suit your needs.

In addition to my private practice I have clinical experience as a psychotherapist/counsellor working with individuals from a variety of organisations such as Central Nottinghamshire MIND, the NHS and JOEL-TCP.

Client testimonials

"It's hard to put into words how much this wonderful lady has changed my life for the better. She helped me along a journey of self discovery, gave me the skills to believe in myself again, helped me to rebuild when I was at my lowest point, I laughed and cried along the way, rememberred things I'd suppressed, and I came out a stronger, happier person on the other side. I am so incredibly thankful that I got to meet and spend time with Tracy each week, I wouldn't be the person I am today without her."

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
