About me

Hello, thank you for exploring through my profile. I am a counsellor who specialises in helping people who are going through tough transitions in their lives. Are you going through a difficult move?

Are you going off to university, changing careers or are moving into retirement? Are you navigating through a tough relationship, trying to make sense of online dating or going through a divorce?

I am passionate about helping people work through the anxiety that major life changes can bring, and I help them to clear up the fog of confusion. I have helped young adults who are suffering with major anxiety about leaving home for the first time and going off to university. I have helped people who have just moved to a new country to adjust to a new life for themselves. I am also very passionate about helping people learn about negative repetitive patterns in their relationships, helping newly single mums and dads adjust to co-parenting and building up their self-confidence after going through a tough divorce.

Training, qualifications & experience

I work as an Integrative Therapist where I use different theories such as CBT, Psychodynamic, Object Relations therapy and Person-Centred therapy to tailor my approach. I am a registered member of the BACP and work to their ethical code. Please take the time to check out my website and watch my introductory video. You can email me or phone me to set up a free consultation online.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

Together, we can help build the skills necessary to handle anxiety and negative thinking.  Sometimes all you need is a safe space to open up about life’s confusion and have someone to help you to navigate through it.  Results due to my work have been helping my clients to improve their happiness and joy in life.  We can talk about what life goals you would like to work towards and aim our therapy outcome with these in mind.
