About me

Hello,

I am a psychological therapist with around 14 years of experience in the UK. I work privately and with the NHS, in a high volume primary care service in South West London. Prior to this, I was working in the Charity sector in India, where I originally am from.

I am skilled and experienced in treating depression and anxiety disorders such as specific phobias, PTSD, childhood trauma, OCD, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social phobia, Panic and Agoraphobia and Health Anxiety. I also treat Bulimia nervosa (bing-eating disorder) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD). The therapies I use for individual clients are mainly CBT and EMDR.

In addition, I also offer Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT) which is a structured approach to coaching couples experiencing relationship distress. I was fortunate to be trained in this rather niche therapy by Professor Don Baucom and his team from the University of North Carolina, USA.

One of my unique skills-set is to look at how best to sustain recovery and liaise with various supportive community networks that might help a client stay well, after a course of therapy.

Apart from English, I am fluent in Tamil, Hindi & Urdu and am able to deliver therapy in those languages as well.
