About me

Sometimes life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, lost or confused. Maybe you don’t know what is going on, but you can’t shake the feeling that something isn’t right and it’s beginning to take over your day to day life and block any enjoyment. Sometimes we feel stuck in a place that we just can’t move forward from, and there’s no end in sight. Even when we have support from friends and family there can be times when it just doesn’t feel right to say how you really feel for fear of hurting their feelings or not being understood.

Using a Person-Centred approach to work on the matters that you feel are the most important, I can offer you a non-judgemental and safe environment where you can expect to see benefits such as:

·       Feeling heard

·       Identifying better coping techniques

·       Improved understanding of yourself and what’s going on for you

·       Improved resilience

·       Improved awareness

·       Greater ability to trust your instincts

·       Improved self-esteem

·       Identifying ways to overcome barriers such as helplessness, grief, lack of confidence, shame, guilt, insecurity, confusion

We are all unique and approach hurdles differently, but working at your own pace, I can offer you a warm, compassionate, and confidential space to help you unlock your ability to make decisions and find your way forward whether you’d like to meet in person, online, or outside into nature.

If you'd like to meet face to face you can choose from a welcoming and comfortable room in the centre of Aylesbury or alternatively, Walk and Talk therapy in Aylesbury or Tring offers a great opportunity to step away from screens, enjoy nature, and support your physical health as well as your mental health.

If you'd prefer to meet online then you have the option of using a secure and confidential online platform. These sessions offer you the opportunity to work from a comfortable space of your choice at a time that fits in with your lifestyle.

If you would like to understand more please feel free to contact me by email or telephone to organise a brief introductory call with no obligation to commit to working together if you decide not to proceed.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
