About me
You've probably spent a long time telling yourself you're fine. If you're used to coping, it can be surprisingly difficult to notice how much things have been affecting you. Stress often builds gradually, until things that once felt manageable start to feel overwhelming, draining, or hard to switch off from.
Many of the people I work with are used to handling responsibility, yet find themselves feeling stuck, exhausted, or under constant pressure. They may appear to be coping on the outside, while carrying a great deal internally.
Therapy can provide a space to put some of that weight down and understand what's keeping you stuck.
Together, we can make sense of how you've ended up carrying so much on your own.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you come. Many people I work with have spent months, sometimes years, telling themselves they'll manage on their own. I offer a space where we can begin to make sense of things together.
How I work
Therapy is most helpful when the relationship feels safe and supportive, so that is where I begin.
You set the pace, I'll listen carefully, help you notice patterns, and explore what might help things shift.
My approach is warm and steady, with enough structure to support change without rushing you.
What I can help with
People often come to see me when they are struggling with:
- feeling overwhelmed or stressed
- difficulty switching off or relaxing
- pressure, responsibility, or burnout
- anxiety or overthinking
- low self-esteem or self-criticism
- feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating
What to expect
We’ll start by understanding what’s been going on and what you’d like to feel different going forward.
Over time, therapy often helps people feel more settled and better able to handle what life brings.
Many people also notice they begin to trust themselves more, feel less overwhelmed, and respond differently to situations that previously felt difficult or draining.

Alongside my private practice, I work within several NHS counselling services and have supported people across schools, charities, and specialist settings since 2017.
I often work with people who feel under pressure, take on a lot of responsibility, and are used to coping on their own.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
