About me
You may be doing all the things you “should”, showing up for work, supporting others, keeping everything going, while quietly feeling unlike yourself.
Life can look fine on the outside, yet feel very different on the inside.
Sometimes something has changed, and you are grieving what has been lost. A relationship has ended. Your health has shifted. You may be living with infertility or childlessness. Plans for the future have not unfolded as you hoped.
Sometimes nothing obvious has happened, yet life no longer feels quite right.
You might recognise thoughts such as:
- “I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
- “I should be coping by now.”
- “I thought things would feel different by now.”
- “Other people have it worse.”
- “Why does this still feel so hard?”
- “I didn’t expect this to affect me so much.”
It can be hard to talk about this, especially when you are used to being capable, responsible, and the one others rely on.
Life transitions I support
I support people navigating:
- Relationship endings and separation
- Infertility and childlessness
- Retirement, redundancy, or career change
- Chronic or long-term health conditions
- Ageing and midlife transitions
- The “in-between place” where life no longer feels right, even without a clear event
Imagine this instead
Imagine waking up and feeling a little more able to meet the day as it is.
The knot in your stomach is not quite as tight.
Life feels less like something you have to get through, and more like something you can take part in again.
Imagine feeling more like yourself again, even while things remain uncertain.
How I can help
In our work together, you will have space to:
- talk openly about what has changed for you, without needing to explain or justify why it still feels difficult
- understand your emotional responses without judging them
- ease self-criticism and develop a kinder relationship with yourself
- reconnect with what matters to you now
- begin to feel more at home in your life as it is
Counselling is not about fixing you or telling you what to do.
It is about finding a way to live your life again, on your own terms.
About me
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in fast-paced professional settings, so I understand the pressure to keep going even when things feel difficult underneath.
On a personal level, I know how disorientating it can feel when life no longer looks as you imagined, and how important it can be to have space to talk freely about what has changed, and what that means for you now.
When you’re ready
If this has made you pause and think “that’s me”, you are very welcome to get in touch. I offer a free introductory call, a chance to ask questions and see whether we might be a good fit to work together.
You don’t need the perfect words to start.
You just need to begin where you are.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
