About me
Finding Yourself Again During Times of Change
Life transitions can shake your sense of identity and direction. You might feel unsure about what you want or who you are, especially if you've spent a long time meeting others' expectations. Perhaps you’ve reached a point where things no longer feel right, but it’s hard to know where to begin.
These changes might include:
✔ Relationship breakdowns, family estrangements, or the loss of close connections
✔ Childlessness, infertility, miscarriage or decisions around parenting
✔ Redundancy, retirement, or a shift in career path
✔ The emotional impact of serious illness or long-term health conditions
✔ A growing sense that your life looks different from what you had imagined
You may be feeling disconnected, uncertain or stuck, finding it hard to make decisions or focus on daily life. It can be difficult to talk to others about how you're feeling, especially if you're met with silence or pressure to ‘move on’.
If any of this resonates with you, you can find more about how I work and the support I offer on my website.
Whatever you’re facing, it’s OK to ask for support.
How Counselling Can Help
Counselling offers a space to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement or expectation. Together, we can work towards:
🔹 Gaining insight into what matters to you, helping you feel more centred and confident in your choices
🔹 Developing tools to manage difficult thoughts and emotions with more ease
🔹 Reconnecting with your sense of identity and purpose, especially during times of uncertainty
🔹 Improving communication and strengthening personal or professional relationships
🔹 Moving forward with greater calm, clarity and resilience
Many people find that counselling helps them feel more connected to themselves and better equipped to handle whatever comes next.
Why Work With Me?
I’ve supported adults in private practice, young people in schools, and clients through a local charity. Before training as a counsellor, I worked in financial services, so I understand the mental and emotional impact of high-pressure environments.
My own experience of unexpected loss has also shaped my approach. I know what it’s like to feel unsteady after a major life shift, and how hard it can be to find a new way forward. This personal journey gives me a deeper understanding of the challenges my clients face and the courage it takes to reach out.
As an integrative counsellor, I tailor our work to your individual needs. Whether we focus on making sense of emotions, exploring identity, or finding practical ways to move forward, my aim is to create a space where you feel respected, supported and able to reconnect with yourself.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I provide weekly sessions as consistency helps to establish a therapeutic relationship and maintain momentum in our work together. For this reason, I do not offer fortnightly or monthly counselling sessions.
The fee for each 50-minute counselling session is £60.00, and payment is required through a bank transfer at least 24 hours before the scheduled session.
I offer a complimentary 10-15 minute introductory call to discuss how we can collaborate and determine if we're a good fit. Research shows the quality of the relationship between counsellor and client is central to the effectiveness of the therapy. Therefore, I encourage you to trust your intuition in selecting the counsellor who best suits your needs.
I always respond to enquiries. To ensure you receive my response, please provide a contact phone number. This will allow me to confirm receipt and ensure my reply doesn't inadvertently end up in your spam folder.
