About me
Experienced Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist (MA, Dip.HIP) and full clinical member of UKCP.
I work in private practice with people who are looking for support with good mental health and wellbeing, which can become affected in everyday life for example by experiences of stress, loss, anxiety, trauma or difficult relationships.
I offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental environment in my practice, and my humanistic and relational approach means an emphasis on paying attention to mind, body and spirit and the relationship between client and psychotherapist. I take time to understand and provide support for the whole person, which includes parts of the self that are perhaps experienced as challenging or unwanted, or which might have stayed undiscovered because they haven't been able to develop.
I use different theories and applications in my practice because of its integrative approach, and since 2011 my experience as a therapist has included working in private practice, counselling organisations and NHS mental health services.
If you would like a consultation to see if you could benefit from working together, please get in touch with me by email.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
initial consultation
When we meet for an initial consultation, I will invite you to share whatever feels comfortable, and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask me any questions you have about therapy or how we will work together.
session frequency and duration
My sessions (including initial consultations) last for 50 minutes, and if we work together, there is no pre-determined length to how many sessions there should be overall. Most people find around 6 sessions useful before deciding whether they wish to continue with longer term work. All sessions take place on a weekly basis.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes.
If we agree to work together after an initial consultation, we will usually arrange to meet weekly on the same day and at the same time.
