About me

No matter whether it seems a small issue or is something larger or deeper rooted, if it's negatively impacting your life, you can change it or change how it affects you.  With my support, clients explore, understand and then act to either overcome or learn to relate differently with the problem. Your goals matter to me.

I work in the following areas:

  • Anxiety issues (e.g. Generalised Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Health Anxiety, phobias);
  • Stress & Burnout;
  • Depression & Low Mood;
  • Anger Management;
  • Unhealthy Relationship Patterns, Emotional Abuse, Codependence;
  • Habitual, Compulsive or Unwanted Behaviours including Addiction;
  • IBS
  • Insomnia.

I am an experienced professional offering safe, confidential support where you can talk freely. I offer a range of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT), Counselling, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Coaching and Mindfulness. We can use one approach or integrate. I work with a range of clients both face to face (London & W Sussex) and on-line via secure online video (Zoom & Doxy.me).

We suffer when our life isn't working as we'd wish, but don't know how to change or do things differently. I'm here to help if this is you and believe can all change if we want. Together we develop a deeper understanding of your problem(s) and how it's maintained and then achieve the goals and outcomes you want, using tried and tested skills and techniques.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a National Counselling Society (NCS) Accredited Counsellor (MNCS (Acc)), specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT) including Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

Diploma in CBT/REBT, Advanced Diploma in CBT/REBT and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Therapy (with Distinction). Member of the Association of REBT (MAREBT). I undertake regular Continued Professional Development (CPD) in order to build upon my skills and keep current.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) teacher training at the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University.

Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma (HPD), Registered and Accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). GHR Reg. General Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice (GCHP).

International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited Diploma in Personal Transformational Coaching.

Diploma in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching and NLP Practitioner.

I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate (DBS).

As an AnxietyUK Approved Therapist I also provide therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I am subject to Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of my professional qualifications, supervision, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by my registered governing body.

Prior to training as a counsellor and therapist, I worked in demanding, high-stress environments and understand work-related stress and pressures of chasing work-life balance. In additional to my therapeutic and counselling skills, I am an experienced mentor, coach and teacher, trained in and utilised these skills in a variety of roles.

A series of major, personal life-changing events led to conclude that I wanted to train professionally in approaches I found personally beneficial and because I value the clear, relatively short and largely solution focused emphasis of these frameworks.
