About me

Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or it feels the right time to speak to someone again, this is a space for you. I'm Rosy, I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist with a passion for supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression and relational issues.

I offer in-person, online and phone sessions to suit your needs.

We are often good at keeping on going or trying to hold it all ourselves. Counselling with me can be a place to safely offload, work through or process some of those things you are managing. You don't have to fall apart to feel better but if it already feels like you are at rock bottom, I can support you.

Things can feel better than this and you don't have to do it alone.

What are the first steps?

If you are seeking counselling for symptoms of anxiety or depression (including perinatally) please email me or fill in the contact form on my website, I'd love to hear from you.

I know emailing can feel hard for some, so please don't worry if the email is  short. Something simple like 'I am looking for help with anxiety/depression' is absolutely fine.

I can offer a free 15 minute exploratory call to answer any questions and for you to see if I might feel like the right counsellor for you. But if phone calls aren't for you then I am happy to correspond by email and get you booked for an initial session too.

What is counselling with you like?

My aim is to make counselling a nurturing and empowering experience. I am an integrative, relational counsellor which means I am qualified in a range of counselling and psychotherapy approaches and tailor sessions to meet your individual needs.

Whether you are looking for some techniques to help you day-to-day or a safe place to talk, I offer a confidential, nurturing environment where we can work together to help you process or resolve what is going on for you.

Contact Me
I know it can be really overwhelming choosing a therapist and how daunting it can feel to take the first step.  If this feels the right time for you to begin, or if you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you - please feel free to say hello or pop over to my website for more information.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy and a BSc Psychology.

For the last two years I have volunteered with a charity providing counselling for people seeking perinatal mental health support.

I have particular experience of working with anxiety, depression and bereavement as well as relational issues and personal development.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
