About me
Hello, I’m Rossella, and welcome to Reflective Time Counselling. 🤍
I am a Person-Centred Integrative Counsellor based in the Southampton and Romsey area and online, offering a calm and compassionate space where you can speak openly, feel genuinely heard, and begin to make sense of the challenges you are facing.🕊️
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, addiction, substance misuse, or suicidal thoughts and feelings of hopelessness, I will support you at a pace that feels comfortable for you. 🌱
My Integrative Approach is flexible and tailored to you as an individual. While Person-Centred values remain at the heart of my work, I also draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support your personal goals, emotional wellbeing, and journey towards positive change. 🌼
Together, we can work towards positive and lasting change. 🌿
For those struggling with alcohol use or addiction, we can also focus on achievable goals around reduction, sobriety, relapse prevention, and emotional wellbeing. ✨
I believe that when people feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported, healing and growth become possible. 💙
Addiction Practice 🌿
I am passionate about supporting individuals facing challenges with addiction, substance misuse, and unhealthy coping patterns.
Addiction is not limited to drugs or alcohol. It can also include behaviours such as gambling, shopping, pornography, gaming, social media use, food, relationships, or any pattern that begins to negatively impact your emotional wellbeing, relationships, confidence, or daily life.
I offer a compassionate, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can speak openly and honestly without shame or pressure. Together, we can explore the deeper reasons behind these patterns and begin building healthier ways to cope. 🤝
My Integrative Approach allows therapy to be tailored to your individual needs, whether your goal is reduction, moderation, sobriety, relapse prevention, or long-term recovery.
Together, we can work towards positive and lasting change. 🌿

Professional Experience 💼
I completed my training placement at CGL Reading (Change Grow Live), where I supported individuals experiencing challenges related to addiction, substance misuse, mental health, and emotional wellbeing. This experience strengthened my understanding of working compassionately and collaboratively with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences.
Alongside my private practice, I work at StreetScene Addiction and Chemsex, Residential Recovery facility in Southampton supporting individuals affected by Drug, Alcohol, and Chemsex addiction within therapeutic and structured environments.
Through this work, I have gained valuable experience supporting clients with addiction, relapse prevention, trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, emotional regulation, and the complex emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during recovery, including working with LGBTQ+🌈 and Trans 🏳️⚧️clients in an inclusive, affirming, and supportive way.
My role includes delivering 1:1 sessions, group therapy, and workshops 🗣️ alongside therapeutic interventions, collaborative goal setting, relapse prevention strategies, emotional support, and helping clients develop healthier coping mechanisms, while always respecting and maintaining each individual’s autonomy, choice, and personal agency throughout the recovery process. ✨
Working within residential recovery settings has deepened my understanding of the importance of empathy, consistency, trust, and Person-Centred support when helping individuals work towards meaningful and lasting change. 🌼
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences safely and at their own pace.
My approach is Humanistic, Person-Centred, and Integrative, influenced by relational theory and the work of Petruska Clarkson, particularly her understanding of the therapeutic relationship as central to healing and personal growth. I recognise the importance of safety, trust, consistency, and authentic connection within therapy, and how different relational dynamics can support self-awareness, emotional understanding, and meaningful change.
I work with a wide range of issues including addiction, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and emotional wellbeing, with experience supporting LGBTQ+ and trans clients 🌈🏳️⚧️.
Alongside emotional exploration, I can also support clients with collaborative goal setting 🎯, relapse prevention, and developing healthier coping strategies.
Sessions are available face-to-face and online, with flexible appointments including evenings and weekends. ✨
