About me

Hi. I’m an accredited therapist, offering counselling and psychotherapy. I can work with you in-person at my practise room, or online.

I can help you move from feeling lost, confused, anxious, stuck, numb, or overwhelmed... to a place where things make sense, where there’s a way forward, and you feel in charge of your life.

I can help you understand your unique situation so that you can make clear and solid choices that work for you, making positive changes in your life, and your relationships.

I can help you to uncover, discover, and to re-connect with the real ‘you’. The 'you' that might be hoping to be found. The inner ‘you’ that might have once been hidden or pushed away because you had to get through something really tough. You had to survive.

By using transactional analysis I offer you a versatile counselling and psychotherapy. I can adapt my style and approach to suit your needs. For us to discover, explore, and make meaning of your experiences. To help you work out what you want or where you want to go, and how to get that.

My work with Bristol Mind (local charity) means that I account for intersectionality, including neurodiversity. Celebrating all of the similarity and individuality within the therapy room – of you with me. If you feel like you need to wear a mask, I can help you feel safe to let go of the mask, and be the whole of you. I can help you to improve relationships, including where there is neurodivergence within the relationship. Whether you identify as neurodivergent or not. Building relationships that work for you.

I know that a good client-therapist relationship is key to therapy success. I offer you a complimentary 20-minute initial phone call for you to find out what it would be like working together in therapy. Taking that step might take courage. I encourage you to take that step.

Feel free to begin your therapeutic journey by reaching out to arrange an initial call. You are welcome.

Further information

Ways of Working:

My interests and approaches include using creativity (picture cards, model animals, story writing, drawing), Transactional Analysis models, and using dreams as resources to discover and make sense of what's going on (for you).

Ethos:

I work 'with' clients in therapy. Meaning that the therapy is a mutually agreed 'working with' - we meet and work together.

Keeping Sight of Issues, Priorities, and Goals:

In work together you will discover more about what you want and where you want to go as you go along. It’s normal for priorities and goals to emerge and change. I will incorporate what emerges, and your growth, throughout my work with you in therapy together. To keep the focus of our work together relevant to you.

Structure of Work:

The free initial call is where you can see if I feel 'right' for you, and for me to see if I offer the right therapy for you.

The first 4 to 6 sessions make space for the forming our relationship, making sure it's right for you, and discovery of what you want to get out of therapy. Connecting with your motivation to do that, and how to do that together.

Ongoing work may be short or long term, depending on what you need.
