About me
Originally from India, I did my first Masters in Operational Research at Delhi University. This enabled me to work as a media planner for Ogilvy & Mather and JWT, in India and Hong Kong. I have now lived in London for more than 20years. Having experienced a life changing event I embarked on my journey of exploring my life and relationships.
I think of psychotherapy as a creative process between the client and the therapist that comes about as a result of the unique and confidential therapeutic relationship which fosters emotional growth and development through the exploration of current issues in the context of the familial 'past'.
About my work
I have been a practising clinician for 15yrs. When I remember myself as a child, I can recall being very curious of those around me and trying to understand whats not being said. So it's inevitable that I would be drawn to the complex stories of the mind. These stories define us, inspire us, give us hope and also drives us to despair.
I am a systemic and psychodynamic psychotherapist. I work with the here and now, making meaning of your stories and the changes you would like to make in your life and relationships. The capacity to reflect is the medium through which you would be able to think and see more clearly and constructively.
Whether you are presenting with general relationship issues or sexual difficulty, my approach uses systemic therapy , psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness practice, CBT and behavioural exercises.
What to expect in your first session
Following initial contact by emailI, a 75 minute assessment is arranged. This will give you the opportunity to talk about your reasons for coming to therapy, what you would like to work on, exploring your background and for us to see if we can work together.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
COSRT is the UK’s leading membership organisation for therapists specialising in sexual and relationship issues.
All members must abide by their Code of Ethics and the performance of accredited members is regularly monitored.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
