Peter Hutt (MBACP). Daytime, Evening & Weekend Counselling
Brighton Therapy Practice
9a Princes Street
48 Rochester Gardens
I am a Person Centred Counsellor. This means that our therapy sessions are not about me or my opinions they are about you. Working together in counselling sessions can help you to understand some of the reasons behind your difficult and sometimes overwhelming feelings and emotions.
Perhaps you find it hard to cope with current feelings such as anxiety, depression, anger, loss or work stress. It could be you have suffered a bereavement, have relationship issues or you're feeling a loss of self-belief or low self-esteem.
Drawing on my extensive training, work and personal experience, I will help you with any difficult issues, exploring any obstacles, choices and aspirations - whether they are current problems of a practical nature or repetitive patterns from your past that affect your daily life. Together we will work towards strengthening your inner resources and confidence.
Maybe you have suffered trauma or past abuse, you feel that you are not 'good enough' or you feel an underlying sense of 'impending doom' that wont go away. It might be that you just have an unshakeable feeling that something isn't quite right.
Whatever it is that you are finding difficult to cope with in your life, I can help you.
I will meet with you in a calm, comfortable environment. I want you to feel safe and able to explore all your thoughts and feelings. Whatever it is that is troubling you, I will receive you with empathy and without judgement. My aim is to provide the right conditions for you to talk about absolutely anything you want.
If you have a problem with drink, drugs, gambling or any obsession/addiction my personal experience of recovery gives me a deep understanding of addictive behaviour, its underlying causes and all of the issues that surround it.
Call or text me for a free informal chat or e-mail me to arrange a no obligation 1st session for just £20.
We can meet Central Hove near Palmeira Square, or in Brighton, close to The Royal Pavilon.
If it is difficult for you to get to me, I can also arrange to visit you in your own home or at an appropriate venue of your choice such as your place of work. The venue must offer a confidential environment. I will travel within a 10 mile radius of Brighton. Please contact me for details.
