About me

Transactional analysis counsellor, MBACP

Hi, I'm Nives. I am BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor with biomedical background. I help adults with anxiety, depression, relationship issues.I specialise in fertility difficulties and postnatal depression. I offer a safe, welcoming and non-judgmental space, where we can work together towards the change you wish to make in your life.

I currently run my private practice in Central London. I had previously  worked in NHS- GP practice, where I had the opportunity to work with people facing a variety of mental health difficulties- depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, trauma, bipolar disorder, OCD to name some.

I offer short-term, mid-term, and long-term therapy and work with individuals, couples and groups.

I practise predominately in Transactional Analysis (TA) but use elements of CBT(cognitive behavioural therapy), gestalt, NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) and Mindfulness. My work will depend on what your needs as a client are and my aim is to tailor therapy to your therapeutic goals.

It is also in my professional aim to facilitate therapy to the highest standards, therefore I abide to the ethical code of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). I'm also a member of UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and EATA (European Association for Transactional Analysis).

I'm regularly involved in seminars, courses, debates etc, to continuously grow professionally and personally.

The beginning of therapy

My work with clients starts with an initial assessment session (50min). During this time we would see if we feel we could work together, and if so, how. It might be that we decide to engage in short-term therapy with a very clear outcome. Or we might decide to take more time an explore and work on a deeper level.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
