About me
On a counselling journey with me, I aim to work with you to help you overcome any blocks holding you back, find your own solutions to personal and relationship challenges, and assist you to explore your emotional world. I can also help you with issues like depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
I understand that speaking to a stranger might feel daunting at first, but I offer caring support and a non-judgmental perspective, no matter what you’re facing.
I am trained in Humanistic Counselling, a method that focuses on seeing you as a whole and unique person. I work in a person-centred way and treat everyone as an individual. On a therapy journey with me, I’ll draw upon my knowledge of other Humanistic therapies to find the right approach. I believe in tailoring therapy to your needs and having an open, ongoing conversation about what works best for you.

I have been working in the mental health field in and around Glasgow since 2021. This includes, most recently, working as a counsellor with two established counselling organisations: Crisis Counselling and The Wynd Centre. Prior to this, starting in 2021, I worked as a distress response worker for a service that supports people in crisis.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years working in education with young people with additional support needs, including young people who had been through difficult childhood experiences.
I bring this diverse experience into my counselling practice and am continuously developing my skills. The learning never stops — nor would I want it to!
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Counselling can help you to face life’s challenges, feel better about painful experiences, and find a way forward.
Counselling goes beyond “just talking”. That’s definitely a big part of it — and having someone to talk to can make a real difference. But it’s also about so much more than that.
