Nicola Houghton MBACP (Accred) Individuals & Couples Counselling
Hello my name is Nic,
Can I support you to improve your relationships, reduce anxiety and stress? I offer counselling for individuals and couples to explore unhelpful feelings, thoughts and behaviour so you can improve your relationships, mental health and well-being.
As a qualified integrative counsellor we can work short and longer-term to suit your needs.
I offer a counselling relationship where you can safely explore and negotiate your past, present and future. Counselling can help you to make sense and meaning of your experiences, develop insight and new ways to adjust and move forward.
Through working with counselling agencies in the West Midlands and Warwickshire, I am experienced in counselling a wide range of concerns including:
Relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, work-related stress, abuse, trauma, bereavement and loss. This includes bereavement counselling for parents who have experienced miscarriage, neonatal and infant loss.
I specialise in working with clients who want to improve their relationships, reduce anxiety and stress, manage unhelpful feelings and thoughts. Through a therapeutic relationship we all have the potential to increase self-awareness and create change in our lives.
The person-centred approach, is the foundation of how I work and I integrate a variety of CBT and Psychodynamic interventions based on evidence-based research of what works in therapy.
If you choose to contact me, I offer an initial joint consultation session. I will listen carefully to the concerns you bring. Together we can explore if and how we can work together, enabling you to make decisions about how you want to live your life and deal with life problems in your own way.
