About me
It is an incredibly important and life-changing decision to come to the therapeutic space. Choosing your counsellor needs to be carefully considered. There needs to be a "fit" between you and your counsellor.
The therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client has the potential to heal past and present wounds, review stagnant, harmful patterns, as well as address anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, relationship needs, and depression. Here is a description of some of the ways in which I work. If you believe that we could be a match in our ways of working, get in touch for a free 30 minute consultation where we can make the important steps towards you finding the right therapist.
"Therapy is teaching you to be incredibly respectful with the complexity of your mind, and that your mind is not exactly obvious to you. You might not have access to the richest data about who you are." - Alain De Botton.
As an Integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, I will be drawing upon a number of dynamic therapeutic models in order to meet your psyche's needs and hold appropriately what is brought to our sessions. Therapy is not a "one size fits all", quite the contrary, your uniqueness and individuality held in your personal story will be at the heart of our work together that will enable us to co-create a safe, authentic, non judgemental and confidential space for you to grow and to heal.
As well as the mind, I am a practitioner that works with the complexities of the body. This can mean brain functions in neuroscience terms, nervous system regulation in trauma-related and breath work terms, as well as the unconscious information our bodies hold through physical sensations or ailments, as well as dreams and images that may offer clues to what dwells in the unconscious.
I am an Integrative, Transpersonal, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I am a registered member of the BACP, the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hold my practice in Bristol, Westbury, and Melksham.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling, MBACP - (Re-Vision, London)
My professional training at Re-vision uses a 'Soulful approach' integrating concepts from Jungian, Gestalt, relational, psychodynamic, neuroscience, body psychotherapy, and family systems theory as well as developmental and archetypal psychology.
- BA Drama and Theatre Arts (Middlesex, London)
Before my clinical practice, I had been working professionally within the arts for twenty-five years. As a Theatre and Music industry professional, I bring to my clinical practice the understanding of how a life as a creative person that involves performance, rejection, touring, self-employment, and industry pressures all have profound and lasting impacts on the body and mental health.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
It is important to me that my clients' reach is diverse. I have a limited number of low-cost counselling sessions, so please do get in touch if you are on low income. Please know that if you are on a high income and paying the higher price range, that you will be supporting the amount of low income counselling sessions I am able to hold throughout the week.
Further information
I am dedicated to holding a diverse clinical practice. This means it is important for my practice to meet the needs of a society that holds at its core, wounding, racial, gender, financial, neurodivergent, and age differences and prejudices. One way that I do this is I work from both a city and a rural practice space. This means that geographically I am able to work with clients from ranging geographical and socio-political backgrounds. Another way I do this is to offer low-cost sessions to those on low income.
