About me

Working online across the United Kingdom, in person in Oxford.

Short term and long-term therapy available.

About me

I am a Counsellor and Coach, both BACP registered.

How to choose?

When you're looking for a therapist, finding the right fit can be overwhelming. Remember, not all therapists are your therapist. You need to know you'll feel safe, held and heard during your sessions. I offer a free and confidential 15-minute discovery call if you would like to chat before committing to a full session.

How I work

As an integrative therapist and coach, I am solution-focused and practical, so not the sort of therapist who will sit back silently while you struggle. I work in a way that is very relational, a proven method to a successful therapy outcome. I will engage fully in the process with you, bringing the best of myself to help you find a way to manage the challenges you are facing.

I have a professional background in publishing, higher education, human relations and the legal world, which helps me bring an understanding of the corporate environment into the room. I also hold qualifications as a holistic therapist (reflexology, aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage) which helps me understand how our environment plays an important part in our wellbeing.

I approach therapy as emotional housekeeping. We start with decluttering the surface level noise, which gives us space to think, space to breathe. As our relationship develops, we can explore the deeper issues stored in the cupboard under the stairs, in the attic or under the bed. Together, we can decide what you would like to keep, what you can release, and what needs a little TLC.

You get to choose.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BSc in Psychology from the Open University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching from the University of East London.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their professional guidelines and ethical framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
