About me
Hello I am Natalie, I help individuals living with chronic illness and mental health issues in the workplace to feel understood, validated, respected and valued. I do this by providing personal understanding of these experiences, supporting you to accept and understand your health issues. I will provide a non-judgemental approach and strategies for coping with these issues and help you build your confidence back in the workplace.
Have you got a chronic illness and its making you tired and fatigued at work and your co-workers don't understand this? Have you experienced some work place stress and your off work sick and can't think about returning? Are you experiencing anxiety and depression and its affecting your ability to do your job?
I have lived experience of all of these things, I am living with CFS/ME and have been since 2016 which has made my ability to do everyday things very challenging. I experienced a lack of understanding being called lazy, complaints when I was off sick which led to feelings of depression due to workplace bullying. In 2021, I got diagnosed with a rare kidney disorder, I was off work for 3 months and struggling to accept my new life.
However, things changed for me and they can for you too. I left my workplace that was unsupportive and went on to work in charities. I have worked at my new workplace for over 3 years, I got so much support when I was off work with my kidney disorder. I have built up my own confidence, and know my worth. I am a business owner and I lead a grief counselling service for a charity and help others going through a similar experience.
Your life can change too, with therapy with me you will develop coping strategies for dealing with chronic illness and/or mental health. We will work on building up your confidence and self esteem, and highlighting how important you are. You will feel validated, respected and heard.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I have always been passionate about understanding each individual’s issues and problems.
