About me

Is “trying to do everything perfectly” getting in the way of actually living your life? Since you're here you probably feel: more overwhelm and anxiety than you can manage anymore, like you’re never good enough despite your list of achievements, and exhaustion from overthinking and trying to keep it all spinning. If others would say “you have it all together”, but you know that you’re trapped in a swirl of your own negative thoughts, anxiety, and harsh environment of your mind, you’re in the right place. I help perfectionists & high-achievers overcome anxiety, reduce overwhelm, and finally manage their perfectionism effectively.

When you manage your perfectionism and overcome your anxiety, then you can finally: stop overthinking, feel less stressed and anxious, stop procrastinating and be more productive, not be so harsh on yourself, be able to relax and be present, manage your high expectations of others not to damage relationships, and be able to switch off and feel calmer.

There is a way to manage your perfectionism in a healthy way, so you can maintain your high standards without sacrificing your wellbeing. You can feel at peace, even as a perfectionist - and I can’t wait to help you step into that new reality. Head to my website to book an initial appointment (even if you're unsure that you're a 'perfectionist') and let's start therapy together!

Training, qualifications & experience

How much training and experience have I got?

A lot! I’ve got a BSc in Psychology and a PgDip in CBT. Oh - and a second PgDip in advanced CBT, because what high-achieving perfectionist doesn’t want to spend 7 years honing their craft?

I’ve spent nearly a decade working as a therapist and manager in London NHS mental health services, before moving back to Hertfordshire where I spent 4 years leading an NHS Talking Therapies team as Deputy Clinical Lead & Principal CBT Therapist.

But honestly? Nothing has come close to the work I’ve done specialising in perfectionism and anxiety and helping hundreds of perfectionists in therapy!

Here's a list of my qualifications if the perfectionist in you needs to be certain I'm the best therapist for you:

- BSc Psychology, Newscastle University, 2008
- PgDip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Hertfordshire University 2011-2013
- PgDip CBT for Children & Young People, UCL, 2015-2017
- Cert Compassion Focused Therapy, Balanced Minds, 2017
- Mindfulness (MBCT) Teacher Training, Bangor University, 2018
- Mindfulness for Life (MBCT-L) Teacher Training, University of Oxford, 2021
- Dip Cognitive Behavioural Life Coaching, Transformation Academy, 2024

But what you'll probably find more helpful than a boring list of credentials is a bit about my therapy approach...

Compassionate - Not only will I be your biggest cheerleader, l'Il also show you unconditional compassion during your toughest times. I genuinely care about all of my clients, and I'm always determined to help them get to where they want to be in life.

Effective - I pride myself on offering high-quality evidence-based trauma-informed therapy. I'm a confident therapist with over a decade of experience, and I have a good track record of helping my clients overcome their problems and make lasting changes.

Friendly - Therapy doesn't need to be stuffy and formal. I want my clients to feel comfortable, so if there's a mixture of laughing and crying I'm here for it! I aim to offer the perfect blend between professional and feeling like you're chatting to a friend.

Productive - I've helped clients who have had unsuccessful therapy before by getting to the root of things, instead of just putting a plaster on it. We don't just do all the amazing talking stuff together, we also get sh*t done and I help you put things into practice.

And now back to focusing on you and what's brought you to my profile...

Feeling overwhelmed. Always striving. All or Nothing. Somehow you're still never enough. Does this sound familiar? Maybe you resonate with the "perfectionist", and maybe you haven't ever thought of yourself that way. But what might be true if you're here is that you no longer feel like you can manage the anxiety that comes with your high standards. You're not alone, and I'm here to help you!
