BABCP Accredited Online CBT Therapist [PgDip, BSc]

About me

Hi I'm Natalie, I'm a BABCP Accredited Principal CBT Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher with over 10 years experience. I specialise in helping women overcome perfectionism so they can feel good enough.

And because it's common for perfectionists to experience low self-esteem, stress, anxiety (i.e. generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic, OCD) or depression, I'm also highly trained to treat these problems too.

Alongside my private work offering CBT, mindfulness courses and therapist supervision, I am Deputy Clinical Lead for an NHS mental health service called IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).

My approach is compassionate and collaborative, and I'll work with you every step of the way to help you find solutions to your difficulties. As an experienced CBT Therapist I'm also able to draw on my other trainings in Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion to find the right therapeutic formula that meets your unique needs.

I specialise in offering online CBT, not just because I think there's something special about being able to access therapy from the comfort of your own home, but because I believe that geographic location shouldn't be a barrier to accessing the right treatment with the right therapist wherever you are in the country.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a 3 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology - and wrote my dissertation on OCD under the supervision of Professor Mark Freeston.

I have a 2 year Post-Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a second 2 year Post-Graduate Diploma in CBT for Children & Young People.

I did my Mindfulness Teacher Training with the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, and I've also completed two further specialist mindfulness trainings at the University of Oxford Mindfulness Centre.

I've also completed trainings in Compassion Focused Therapy and Group Therapy, and I'm currently training in Mindful Self-Compassion at The Center for MSC.
