About me

Are you living with the symptoms of PTSD, traumatic memories and anxiety? Is this making life, work and relationships more difficult? Perhaps, you are experiencing flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, phobias, anger, fear, sadness or social anxiety.

This could be making it difficult for you to cope in certain circumstances. It could also be causing your self-esteem and confidence to spiral downwards. Maybe, you have got so used to living with traumatic symptoms and anxiety that the distress and inconvenience they cause you has just become ‘normal’. Would you like to break free of how you have been living and enjoy a better quality of life?

My name is Milo Brandon. I am a BACP Registered psychotherapist and an EMDR UK Accredited EMDR therapist.  EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. This is a safe and effective therapeutic approach that will enable you to process the images, thoughts, feelings, and body sensations associated with your trauma.

EMDR is a very different experience to conventional talk therapy. It involves processing whatever comes up for you rather than protracted talking. Some sessions of EMDR involve minimal therapist-client talking. Some clients find this easier. Please look at my website videos to get a taste of how EMDR works.

I am also an accredited Hypno-psychotherapist. This integrative therapeutic method is a creative way of relaxing you so that you feel more able to explore your past and present experiences and ways of thinking. The combining of psychotherapy with hypnosis can help you to achieve a higher self-understanding and make powerful and positive changes in your life.

For both EMDR and Hypno-psychotherapy, we will work together to bring the source of your issue out into the open. This will enable you to gain the understanding and opportunity to move beyond what is holding you back. Your treatment will be tailored to your individual and particular needs.

You can find out more by looking at my website. Please get in touch by sending me an email or calling me using the contact details above. We can have a free, introductory 30 minute chat over the phone. This will give you the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. I can also answer your concerns and explain more about how I may be able to help you.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
